Terms and conditions

1. Who we are

These terms govern services provided by Ilum Kids, the trading name of Adonia Vodoan, NIF/NIE Y1565710E, at Calle Bulevard dels Musics, 3, 03581 Albir, Alicante, Spain. Contact: +34 637 904 640 and info@ilumkids.com.

By requesting a quote, submitting a booking or subscribing to a service, the Client confirms that they have read and accept these terms.

2. Our services

• Babysitting at homes, hotels, during travel or at events.
• Private teachers and homework support, at home or online.
• Baby English weekly immersion classes for children aged 1.5 to 4.5.
• Children’s events and Kids Zones with activities and childcare.

Services may be delivered by carefully selected independent collaborators. Collaborators working with children must meet applicable safeguarding requirements, including the Sexual Offences Certificate where required.

3. Bookings and confirmation

1. Enquiries can be made through the website, WhatsApp or email.
2. A quote may state the service, dates, hours, location, rate and travel costs.
3. A booking is confirmed only when Ilum Kids confirms it in writing and any required deposit has been paid.
4. Availability is not guaranteed until written confirmation.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are those shown on the applicable rate card or accepted quote and are in euros. Babysitting uses hourly rates, a one-hour minimum and possible night, additional-child and travel charges. A 50% deposit may be required to secure one-off dates, with the balance due on the first service day. Teachers and Baby English use monthly memberships according to the selected plan. Events are individually quoted. The payment method and any taxes will be stated at the time of confirmation.

5. Cancellation and refunds

For babysitting and one-off services, 48 or more hours’ notice generally allows a full refund of amounts paid for affected dates. With less than 48 hours’ notice, 50% of the affected service may be charged. Monthly memberships and events are governed by their accepted plan or quote; missed Baby English sessions are not automatically refundable. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

6. Withdrawal rights

Consumers may have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right for some distance contracts. Its application can depend on whether the service has started at the consumer’s express request. The applicable statutory information and withdrawal form should be confirmed by legal counsel before publication.

7. Client responsibilities

• Provide accurate and current information about every child, including allergies, medical conditions, medication and special needs.
• Confirm parental or legal authority to arrange care.
• Provide a safe environment, exact access details and an emergency contact.
• Share relevant routines, dietary requirements and house rules.

8. Safeguarding and conduct

Child safety and wellbeing come first. We may pause or end a service if a child’s safety or a collaborator’s safety is at risk. Appropriate child-to-carer ratios and safeguarding procedures will be considered for each service.

9. Liability

We provide services with reasonable professional care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss or loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by the Client. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

10. Photos and media

Photos or videos are taken for social media only where the parent or guardian has given separate consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and is never implied by booking a service.

11. Data protection

Personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy published on this website and applicable GDPR and Spanish data-protection law.

12. Intellectual property

Text, images, logos and branding on www.ilumkids.com belong to Ilum Kids or their licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

13. Complaints

Please contact info@ilumkids.com first so we can address your complaint. Consumers may also use the official Spanish consumer complaint mechanisms available to them.

14. Changes and applicable law

The version published at the time of booking applies. These terms are governed by Spanish law, subject to mandatory consumer rules and the courts that legally have jurisdiction over the consumer’s place of residence.
